March Madness Amazon Alexa Co-Promotions
Pizza Hut Digital recently launched online ordering via Amazon Alexa-enabled devices (e.g. Amazon Echo). With this new technology, customers can 'ask' Alexa to order past orders, favorite orders, or select popular items from Pizzahut.com. At the store level, these appear identical to any other online order and are non-disruptive to the restaurant. Adcom and the IPHFHA Board have again approved the use of two nationally-approved Hut Lover’s Deals (30% and 40% off menu price) during two major moments in the upcoming NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The two March Madness deals will run from Thursday, March 23-Sunday, March 26, at 30% off and from Saturday, April 1-Monday, April 3, at 40% off, exclusively for users who place online orders via Amazon Alexa-enabled devices during these two short windows. Amazon will promote the offer via their digital channels; Pizza Hut will promote the offer via social media and email. We expect minimal impact (2-5 incremental orders per location), but redemption will vary by restaurant. Code Details and schedules are as follows:
